Flying at Cosford

My First Flying Experience

Wednesday 29th September 2018. Cdt Joel George attended Nr 8 Air Experience Flight at RAF Cosford.This is his account of the day.

"It was one of the best things I have ever done in my life.​When we arrived at the AEF we were shown a short safety video and practiced having to parachute in the event of an emergency. We had to prove we could do this before we flew. We were kitted out in flying suits, helmets and parachutes ready to fly. Finally it was my turn. My pilot was very nice and knowledgeable and once airborne he allowed me to have a hand on the controls! The views from above were stunning and made for an amazing photo. The time went really quickly and too soon I found myself back on the ground.I had so much fun and really hope I can do it again in the future."
